Donna Georgiana started Gotcha Covered Blankets after the sudden passing of her son.
With no non profit experience, she set out making phone calls within months of Mitchell’s passing. Knowing that one of the last text from him, it was her duty and mission to keep his name alive and memory served.

With no non profit experience, she set out making phone calls within months of Mitchell’s passing. Knowing that one of the last text from him, it was her duty and mission to keep his name alive and memory served.
Donna, a Smyrna native attended Kennesaw University following high school for 2 1/2 years and then earned a real estate license from the Atlanta Institute of Real Estate in 1987. She continued her sales career with Kraft foodservice where she worked until having her first child Katie. Donna raised her children while working at their school with events planning and presiding over parent clubs. She also served as 2nd vice president at the West Smyrna Swim and Tennis club for about 10 years.
While always being involved with Church and community, Donna now focuses on this foundation to keep her sons name alive and hopefully make a difference in police officers lives in our community.
Donna and her husband Paul have been married for 29 years. They have their surviving daughter Katie and Donna’s mother Betty who both reside nearby.
Katie Georgiana is the sister and best friend of fallen officer Mitchell Georgiana. Katie serves as treasurer on the foundation.
Katie graduated in 2013 and went on to attend the Studio Crush school of makeup while working in one of Atlanta’s top salons. Katie has her own makeup company “Katie Georgiana Makeup” while working weekdays as a

Katie is also focused on this foundation to keep her brothers name alive and make a difference for other police officers in our community.
Larry has had a 40 year bi-vocational career in both business and ministry. In business Larry has been a senior project manager for various construction firms specializing in architectural woodwork. In ministry, Larry has served as an ordained minister in the roles of Associate Pastor of Music Ministry at Milford Church of God in Austell
Larry has had a 40 year bi-vocational career in both business and ministry. In business Larry has been a senior project manager for various construction firms specializing in architectural woodwork. In ministry, Larry has served as an ordained minister in the roles of Associate Pastor of Music Ministry at Milford Church of God in Austell and Trinity Fellowship Church in Marietta. With his experience in both business and ministry, Larry brings a unique perspective and a valuable set of skills to our organization. Larry and his wife Michelle of 37 years have three grown children and four grandchildren.
Debbie Holyfield serves as the Secretary of the foundation. She is a Marietta native who returned to the area after time spent living in Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota. Debbie has a degree in Music but found herself in the corporate world after accepting a job to develop a Customer Service division for a major corporation. Af

Debbie has a degree in Music but found herself in the corporate world after accepting a job to develop a Customer Service division for a major corporation. After many years serving as the VP of Client Services, Debbie returned to teaching as a Music Director for a local private school for 17 years. During this time, Mitchell Georgiana, was one of her students and she developed a friendship with the Georgiana family. Debbie currently serves as the Pastoral Administrative Assistant at Trinity Fellowship Church where she is a member of the music ministry and where she and her husband, Woody lead the Community Outreach Ministry. In conjunction with her work in the community and local elementary school, Debbie received a 2021 Volunteer of the Year award from the Cobb Schools Foundation. Debbie and her husband, Woody, have been married 40 years and have a son, Justin, who lives in Chattanooga, TN.
